Not too long ago, I called to robot-proof our education system, and man, did things escalate quickly since. Now it's May 2023, and AI has exploded onto the scene like a fire-breathing dragon at a kitten party. Jaw-dropping developments in AI are coming so thick and fast that some of us stop bothering to close our mouths. So yeah, it's safe to say that even the most oblivious cave-dwellers have caught on to the fact that it's high time we update what we teach. Buckle up, because I'm about to lay down my take on the bachelor-level curriculum that gives shivers even to the robots.
The curriculum of the future consists of two domains: the Self and the World.
Each domain is filled with knowledge of the past and the current state, prompts to students to form opinions about what progress should look like, and mindsets and skills they can use to achieve progress.
The table below contains an overview.

*The component competencies of rationality, as per Steven Pinker, are: logic and critical thinking, probability and randomness, Bayesian reasoning, rational choice and expected utility, signal detection and statistical decision theory, game theory and correlation and causation.
Okay, so revamping our curricula to cover all these fancy competencies is like trying to build a skyscraper with toothpicks - it ain't easy. But you know what? I'm ready to roll up my sleeves, zip my mouth shut, and dive headfirst into the challenge. I am soon launching a shiny new Instagram channel where I'll be teaching this mind-bending stuff, and I'd love for you to join the party. I'll share a link in a future post, and I'd much appreciate it if you would hop on over, check it out, and if you're feeling the vibe, hit me up and let's shake things up together!
